Abstract

The increased emphasis on the efficient utilization of capital and mineral resources has led to several new advances in the science of mineral separation. One example of a recent development is the application of high-capacity high-intensity wet magnetic separators to fine hematit e recovery by a leading Canadian iron ore producer. The iron ore recovery feasibilit , flow-sheet development, circuit operation and metallurgical performance are reviewed.
