Abstract

A hydrometallurgical process for the recovery of lead from sulfide concentrates is presented The process combines the unit operations of selective dry chlormation, brine leaching and fused salt electrolysis as key steps An overview of the chemistry involved in the process 1s discussed as it pertains to overall recovery.
