Abstract

The paper describes the role of the State in the general regulation of the mining industry in the Republic of South Africa as well to refer briefly to some modern technological aspects in South American gold mining practice. In the same way, the paper categorizes it geographical, historical, the mineral and mining laws, lease consideration and taxation, the department of mines, atomic energy board and modern practices in the gold mining industry.
