Abstract

The mechanism of adsorption of gold from alkaline cyanide solutions by carbon has been the subject of much research over the past decade. In this paper, the nature of the gold cyanide adsorption phenomenon is investigated, particularly with respect to carbon substrates and associated surface adsorp- tion sites.
