Abstract

The use of cylindro-conical settlers for the clarification of underground water by E. C. HUNTER- (Associate) G. T. C. EMERE-, B.A. (Hons.) (Keele) (Visitor) This paper analyses the performance of conical settlers on Harmony Gold Mine from 1959 to the present time, and describes the investigation that was undertaken to substantiate and improve the use of conical settlers for a new pump chamber in another part of the mine.
