Abstract
In discussing the Asia-Pacific region weare talking about a region which has more than 60% of the world's population, a regional economy which will in 10 years be larger than the European Economic Community, and a group of countries with some of the highest electricity generation growth rates in the world. It is economically the most dynamic region in the world.
