Abstract
Dust scrubbers on continuous miners are steadily gaining in popularity. Recent Bureau of Mines research on scrubbers is reviewed, with emphasis on the following areas: * Development of a new type of water-powered scrubber which can be retrofitted to existing miners. * Comparison of scrubber effectiveness with blowing and exhaust line ventilation. * Improving the quartz dust collection of flooded-bed' panels.
