Valuation Of Industrial Mineral Producing Operations

The valuation of known mineral re-serves entails the economic evaluation of the mining enterprise and the valuation of other assets employed, including mining and processing plant and intangible assets. A case study approach analyzes two reserve situations: ownership of reserves (phosphate rock), and leasing of reserve lands (kaolin). The appraisal of the physical property is outlined, along with the economic analysis of the operation.
