Abstract

Approximately 30 miles east of Chicago on the southern shores of Lake Michigan stands Bethlehem Steels newest fully integrated steelmaking facility-the billion dollar Burns Harbor plant. The first phase of what will ultimately be the most completely integrated and flexible materials handling system for a steel mill in the western hemisphere is now complete.
