Waste Water Treatment Plants Of Asarco Incorporated-A Review

Over the past 20 years, water treatment plants have been built at various Asarco facilities to effectively handle the process waste streams that need to be bled from the system. The current paper review the several operations with reference to (a) waste streams processed, (b) process chemistry, (c) discharge options and recovery of treated water, and (d) sludge disposal.
